Meet the Founder

Hello!

Amber Washington is a New York City based meditation/yoga instructor, wellness educator, and founder of BreatheWell Collective. She has more than 14 years of personal meditation practice and four years of professional teaching experience.

Meditation has been a source of deep comfort throughout Amber’s life, helping her move through tragedy, grief, and periods of change. Her personal experience shaped her belief that people deserve meaningful ways to understand what they are carrying and care for themselves through life’s most difficult moments.

Amber founded BreatheWell Collective to share the practices that supported her with people who may not otherwise have access to them. Her teaching is grounded in compassion, choice, and respect for each person’s lived experience.

Through BreatheWell Collective, Amber partners with schools, nonprofits, and community organizations to create thoughtful programming that responds to the needs of the people in the room.

Why I Founded BreatheWell Collective

I wanted to create the kind of space I would have valued during some of the hardest seasons of my life: a place to pause, feel supported, and reconnect with myself. BreatheWell Collective grew from that desire and from my hope that more people can discover practices they can return to when life feels heavy, helping to relieve suffering and cultivate a deeper sense of liberation.
